Petra Nemcova was the breakout star of the 2002 Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, which led to her cover appearance for the 2003 edition. Her modeling career has also included appearances in Elle, Harper's Bazaar and Madame Figaro.

Had to hang on to a tree for eight hours when tsunami hit Phuket, Thailand where she has been vacationing. She suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries.
